New Project: Taunton Air Conditioning

A Growing Local Industry

Following the heatwaves of 2026, the client decided to move into the HVAC industry from an adjacent sector. They had years of experience and felt whilst demand was increasing, they should establish themselves as a market leader in the local area. The online search landscape identified opportunities available to target so we set about producing a comprehensive marketing plan.

The Challenge

The demand for air conditioning was at an all time high, however there were a number of established companies benefitting from a lack of competition and therefore strong referrals. However, none of these companies had well optimised their online presence and the domain airconditioningtaunton.co.uk was available, so we jumped straight on it.

Our Solution

Based on the availability of the exact match domain and that no businesses had yet registered as Taunton Air Conditioning, we suggested setting up using that brand name. This gave them the benefit of an exact match domain in search engines and more importantly, an easily memorable and recognisable business name.

We then designed their website architecture around this exact match strategy, to maximise the possibility of strong organic rankings. We built additional service pages such as /air-conditioning-installation-taunton & /air-conditioning-maintenance-taunton.

Website Design & Conversion Rate Optimisation

Whilst achieving strong rankings is an essential part of any website project, the aesthetics and usability of the website are equally as important. We designed the website to make it clear what service was being offered, why the visitors should choose the company and made it easy to take the next steps. We included real photographs from the customer and genuine testimonials.

Launch Strategy

Prior to launch, we ensured that the businesses name, address and phone number (NAP) was consistent online. We submitted the business to major business directories plus some niche specific HVAC directories. Along with these directory listings, we arrange a press release announcing the launch of the new business. This resulted in a solid start to their online marketing campaign and started to build trust signals with Google.

Ongoing Work

We are currently going through the process of obtaining a business profile for Taunton Air Conditioning. They are registered at 112 St Augustine St, Taunton, TA1 1QN and the directory listings reflect that. Due to the more stringent nature of Google and new business profiles, the trust building should allow easier verification of the profile.

The ongoing aim of this project is to expand into additional areas with lower search volume and lower competition, which should allow the site to build clicks, traffic and authority. This in turn will allow the site to start ranking for more competitive search terms.
